The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
- The adventurer has experience in the region and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- Yet, their position as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team enter locations they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.
