An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
